Optimum D levels are more important than ever!

http://lifeforce.myvoffice.com/pdf/en/126x230_OsteoProCare_Image.jpgVitamin D goes all the way to one’s GENETIC makeup.

The study, published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, found that “several immunological processes, immune cell functions and major signaling pathways were differentially regulated according to vitamin D status”

So if your levels are low, which most Americans are, the optimum functioning of your genes is altered.  This means your genes will not respond effectively or at all based on your D levels.  Make sure you're getting the optimum amount daily.

What is an optimum amount?  Most integrative doctors will tell you that 2000 to 5000 IU's is best.

Next doctors visit, make sure you get your D levels checked.  If you are low, you need to supplement.  You cannot get enough D from food alone and if you're not in the sun all day long, you will not get enough.

Some good ones to try:  My favorites are Isotonix D and K, this form bypasses digestion and goes straight to the blood stream.  It also has 5000 IU's of vitamin D assuring you will bring up your numbers if deficient.
Also Life Force OsteoOmega care is fast absorbing and in a liquid form, find it here:  http://lifeforce.net

Consumer Reports has a list of some that passed their testing. http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/magazine/2013/05/most-vitamin-d-pills-measure-up-our-tests-find/index.htm   Most of  these contain 1000 IU's so if you're deficient, you will need to take more than that per day. Most of these vitamins are good if you want to assure you keep your levels stable as a daily supplement.
