Stress is the underlying factor in many diseases due to the inflammation and constant outflow of stimulating hormones every second of the day.
You are stressed if:
You have anxiety
difficulty sleeping
aches and pains, especially in the lower back
digestive issues
heart palpitations
Abdominal fat
Get sick with colds and flu often
If you answered yes to any of the above, then you SHOULD NOT do these 4 things!
1). Drink coffee. Caffeine combined with your own cortisol is a mix that will lead to disease if continued.
2). Become dehydrated. When you don't drink enough water, your body automatically is put into a stressful situation when organs cannot operate efficiently.
3). Regularly skipping meals. When your body perceives a lack of food, it goes automatically into stress mode trying to 'save your life' by adjusting your metabolism.
4). Eating high sugar foods at the end of the day. Eating a candy bar, cookies or even high sugar protein bars create a blood sugar rush that puts the body into a high energy state.
All of these will contribute to added stress. As time goes by, your risk of autoimmune diseases, diabetes, cancer and other health challenges increase.
Here are some things you SHOULD do.
1). Try adaptagens. These supplements help your body deal with stress. Siberian Ginseng, Shizandra, Olive by Bach Flower Essences and Rescue Remedy are great to try and use every day.
2). Meditate. Meditation has been proven to reduce stress and strengthen the immune system. I offer a beginners course where I can get you meditating every day. Click here to sign up.
3). Have fun every day. Do something like a puzzle, games or take a cooking class.
4). Breathing exercises. You can do specific breathing exercises throughout the day to combat stress in the car or whenever you feel you need to reduce your heart rate. You can actually stop a panic attack in it's tracks if you know how to breath the right way.
