What are superfoods? Superfoods have very high concentrations of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to protect your body from bacteria, viruses, and they aid in digestion and help you build muscle. They contain proteins to defend against diseases and illness.
You should be eating superfoods everyday to help protect you from environmental assaults and help repair cellular damage keeping you resistant from colds, flu and other diseases!

GREEN SUPERFOODS
Green foods are rich in chlorophyll, the pigment that gives plants their green color. Did you know that chlorophyll is similar to human blood? When green foods are consumed they increase the production of hemoglobin in the blood. More oxygen in the blood means healthy functioning cells and body for you!
ex. wheat grass, barley grass, chlorella, blue green algae, spirulina.
FRUIT/NUT SUPERFOODS
These foods are high in antioxidants. Antioxidants fight free radicals that are damaging to your body. Free radicals can be environmental such as pollution, cigarette smoke, radiation etc. Or they can be internal through normal metabolic processes or diet such as eating fried food, chemically laden food etc. You need antioxidants to help build your immune system.
ex. cacao, maca, goji berries, acai, coconut oil, noni.
SEAWEED SUPERFOODS
Seaweed superfoods are so beneficial to the body, it is beyond the scope of this blog to explain them. They are naturally high in calcium to build strong bones and have more calcium than milk. They are blood purifying since their chemical nature is close to human blood plasma. They can pull heavy metals from the body by turning them into salts and excreting them harmlessly. They also are great for detoxifying the body and have an alkalizing effect on the blood. They are also a great aid in losing weight.
